magikusSince it first became a commercial success in 1958, Lego has been the stuff little kids dreams are made of! You can create anything, be anyone and when you get bored, simply break it all up and start again! Providing hours of entertainment, improving hand to eye co-ordination and encouraging imaginative play, Lego has established itself as the worldwide number #1 toy for children.

The latest generation of Lego toys come in the form of Lego games. These games are designed to mimic the essence of Lego itself, i.e. you can build, mould and change the game depending on what you want. Lego games are also designed to encourage fun within a sharing capacity with family and friends.

There are currently nine Lego games to choose from at Toys R Us. The games vary in price, ranging from £7.99 – £19.99. Each game comes with a recommended manufacturers age, with games suitable from five years plus. However, since these games are designed as ‘family games’ there really is no upper limit to them.

The cheapest of the Lego games available at Toys R Us is Lego Games Magikus Game. Retailing at £7.99 and suitable for age six plus, the object of the game is to be the first person to collect all the magical ingredients, so you can cast a spell. You can steal your opponents ingredients if you are crafty enough and you do get an owl to help you! The dice is buildable and rules are changeable! Suitable for 2-4 players, this game should entertain you and your kids for approximately ten to twenty minutes.

Retailing at £19.99 from Toys R Us, Lego Games Rameses Pyramid is one of the more expensive Lego Games. Recommended for eight years plus, this Lego Game is for two – four players and should take between twenty and forty minutes to play. You can compete against each other, or join forces to beat the Mummy King Ramseses. The aim of the game is to climb the crystal coded layers of the pyramid collecting treasure along the way.
